Scholastic Book Fair Cub Run October 20-27! As you are preparing for the upcoming month, save the dates of October 20-27 for our book fair! We will host a Scholastic Fair October 20-27. It will be open each day from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The fair will also be open during literacy night on October 26 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. and on the teacher workday October 27 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. We hope to see you there

Fifth graders visited MTC!

Fifth graders in Mrs. Wilt’s class used dash bots to code through the rock cycle! Coding “rocks!”

We had a great turn out during our Math Night last week! Many thanks to Mrs. King, our teachers and the students from JMU for putting this event together. Learning math through games is so fun!

Our other three kindergarten classes enjoyed their turn at the JMU Arboretum! Mrs. Linn’s, Mrs. Abdul’s, and Mrs. Sprauge’s classes had a great time!

Fun Run AND a spirit day?! We love to see it! Our Cubs had a great time running to raise money for our playground improvements. Thank you Cub Run PTA 2023-2024 for putting this together!

Students from Mrs. Kiser’s, Mrs. White’s, & Ms. McClure’s classes enjoyed learning about nature at the JMU arboretum!

This week, October 2-6, RCPS Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) will be celebrating Farm to School Week by featuring local meats, fruits and vegetables on our menus. Our menu will include: locally raised ground beef from GlenDor Farms in Harrisonburg, freshly harvested potatoes from Valley Farming in Dayton, bibb-style lettuce from Portwood Gardens in Dayton, apples from Showalter's Orchard in Timberville, and sweet potatoes from Hanover. Our high schools will also be featuring pork bratwurst this month from Bakers Pork in Mount Jackson.
